Privacy Policy — EasyCarDashCamFree

This Privacy Policy explains how the EasyCarDashCamFree mobile app ("the App") handles user data. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

2. What the App Does

EasyCarDashCamFree turns your phone into a dash cam: it continuously loop-records video, automatically protects footage from detected collisions/hard braking/hard acceleration, and lets you manage and export your recordings.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Video and Audio Recordings

The App records video via the camera and, if enabled, audio via the microphone. These recordings:

• Are stored locally on your device only — never uploaded or transmitted to any server, developer, or third party.
• Live as MP4 files in your phone's shared storage (under Movies/DashCam).
• Are not automatically deleted when you uninstall the App — they remain in shared storage; only in-app deletion or manual removal via a file manager clears them.

3.2 Location Data

The App only uses your GPS location (latitude/longitude) and speed while "GPS Service" is on. This setting automatically follows your phone's own system Location toggle: when your phone's location is on, "GPS Service" turns on to match, and turns off automatically if you turn it off. Tapping the GPS icon on the preview screen, or the GPS Service menu in Settings, opens your phone's system Location settings — turning your phone's location on or off there is what actually changes "GPS Service". Once enabled, this information:

• Is shown live on the preview screen, above your date/time display.
• Is embedded into the recording file itself, the same way the date/time is (visible in videos you export).
• Stays on your device only — it is never sent to any server or third party.

3.3 Purchase / Subscription Information

The App has no purchase, subscription, or payment feature of any kind. It is entirely free.

3.4 Personal Information

The App does not collect personal information such as name, email, or phone number. There is no account creation or sign-in feature.

3.5 Analytics, Advertising, and Third-Party Tracking

The App does not use any analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK. Your usage is not tracked, and no advertising identifier is collected.

4. We Don't Share Your Data

The App does not share or sell your recordings or any data to third parties. The only exception is if you deliberately use the in-app "Share" button to send a video to another app (WhatsApp, email, etc.) — a one-time action entirely under your control.

• All recordings are stored locally on your device and never transmitted over a network.
• The App offers an optional PIN lock feature; if enabled, access to the app is protected by a PIN.
• Recordings marked "Important" are exempt from the App's automatic loop-deletion.

7. Requesting Deletion of Your Data

Since all data lives only on your own device, you control deletion directly:

• Delete individual recordings from within the App, or use "Delete All Recordings" for bulk deletion (Important-marked recordings are excluded).
• Uninstalling the App removes its own settings/database; however, video files may remain in shared storage (see Section 3.1) — to remove them entirely, also delete the Movies/DashCam folder via your phone's file manager.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be announced by posting the updated policy here.
